In this article, Governor Cuomo was criticized for not offering any vision for the next four years because he rarely traveled outside the state. This Tuesday, he proposed to make five international trade missions to promote global business opportunities in New York State. The five countries he plans to visit is China, Mexico, Canada, Israel, and Italy. When asked why he didn't travel in his first term as Governor, he said he wanted to make the point that his job is the governor of New York and that is a job that you do in the state of New York. Cuomo also announced that he would create an "import- export bank" for New York State with $35 million in state funding.

  1. I think what makes someone a good government official is listening to the people and changing themselves to accommodate to what the people want. That is exactly what Cuomo does here. He wanted to concentrate on NY but the people were criticizing him on not venturing internationally. So, he gave the people what they wanted from him and changed his plans.

  2. Cuomo has a really good strategy plan in place. For the first term he supported the public's opinion and worked to help and improve New York. Now he is going to venture off in foreign activity as sort of an extra-curricular and not required move. This is very important in the future election because it shows that he is willing to help New York not just internally but externally.
