Cuomo Pledges ‘Progress’ in a Second Term, With the Details Still to Come

With election day only a month away Governor Cuomo hasn't spoken much about his main objectives for the next term. Instead he has remained broad stating that his next term will be about "moving forward. and making progress". This is a possible advantage for Cuomo for he has not stated anything that might backfire, but Cuomo claims he will release new policy proposals by next week.  I believe that Cuomo should announce a least some of his major proposals to the public, but his policies during his last term can also speak for what he can do.  As long as Cuomo remains true to the policies that he has proposed to the public like the women's rights measures, I believe that Cuomo can make progress.

  1. I think whatever he does now to propose for the next term won't really help him much. If he ends this term with the progress he's promised, I think it would help him tremendously.

  2. Mr. Cuomo seems to have his hands full by Mr. Astorino, who focuses on what he has done criticizing his present policies, and not what he will do in the future. But I think Cuomo has such a wide lead against Astorino, and so if he keeps doing the things that make people happy, he can definitely win. I don't think he really needs a new agenda.

  3. I think that legitimate plans are needed to let the people know what they are voting for or reelecting.

  4. I think that Governor Cuomo really needs to release his plans for his next term because Astorino can take advantage of the Governor being vague in his description of what he plans to do by saying that the Governor has no plans, and is not going to help New York state with sweeping reforms. Thus, for Governor Cuomo to stay on top, and to maintain his lead he must release at least some major plans if he is re-elected.

  5. believe that all politicians are to vague on what they intend to do in office. In local elections its not as much a race about ideas as it is about getting the persons name out. The politicians stances are always for or against the hot topics of the time but then everything else is "I'm pro small business" "and all sorts of stuff that is vague and doesn't really say what you intend to do once elected.
